Set in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, HEAVEN AND HELL follows Grace, a seductive and mysterious vamp who is on the run after being falsely implicated in her husband's murder. She is hunted by Dr. Vinson, her former lover and a scientist who created a sunproof potion for vampires, and by powerful vampire Orozco, who seeks control over the formula to dominate their kind.
Grace's past is revealed through flashbacks: she was turned into a vampire by Orozco in Paris centuries ago and became involved in a clandestine world of immortality, deception, and murder. As Grace navigates her dangerous existence, she struggles with her identity, her feelings for Mike—a human security guard she loves—and her desire for sunlight and humanity.
Sky, a rebellious vampire, and Augie, his loyal but grotesque sidekick, assist Grace in her quest to retrieve the vital formula before it falls into Orozco’s hands. The story culminates in violent battles, betrayals, and sacrifices, with Grace risking her life to outwit her enemies and seek a chance at true freedom and sunlight.
In the end, Grace makes a final, haunting choice to embrace her mortality, walking into the sunrise, leaving her supernatural life behind, and confronting the eternal darkness she’s known.
